Hostel Rules

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.         All payment must be made by banker’s cheque or cash deposited to the Hostel’s bank account and deposit slip presented in the office. Hostel account details are provided in the Hostel office.

2.        Full accommodation  fees must be paid for each semester on or before  admission into the Hostel

3.        In the event that alternative payment arrangement is required only Guardian/Parent/Sponsor can make a request in writing by filling and signing the prescribed form. 

4.        Hostel accommodation fees are neither refundable nor transferable to another student/client account. In case a resident opts to move out at any time before the end of the Semester, Hostel fee is not refundable.

5.        First and last month of the semester are counted as full months irrespective of opening and closing dates for the semester.

6.        In case of sickness or emergency all costs shall be borne by Student/Parent/Sponsor/Guardian.

7.        Every student must be in the Hostel by 10.00 pm daily and the gate shall be closed by that time. Nobody will be allowed in after the closure of the gate.

8.        Visitors are allowed in the Hostel only from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm. No visitors are allowed to spend the night in the Hostel. In the event that a resident allows their visitor(s) to spend the night in their room a penalty of Kshs.2, 000/= per visitor per night shall be levied and shall be payable within 12 hours.

9.        Departure dates from the Hostel will strictly follow the school semester/trimester calendar. No resident will be allowed to leave their luggage/belongings in the rooms

10.      Meals will be served as follows:

·         Breakfast : 7.00 am – 8.30am daily

·         Lunch : 12.30 pm – 2.00 pm (Weekends & Public holidays  only)

·         Tea/Coffee : 5.00pm – 6.30 pm daily

·         Dinner : 7.00pm -8.30 pm daily

11.       Alcoholic drinks, cigarettes and prohibited drugs are NOT allowed in the Hostel.

12.      Cooking or boiling of water in the room is not allowed. Only radio, TV, shavers, Computers and ironing gadgets are allowed.

13.   Residents are issued with room keys which are to be surrendered to the hostel management at the end of every semester.  A fee of Kshs.300/= will be charged for loss of keys.

14.      Music in the rooms should be at low volume

15.      Each  resident should take care of their personal belongings such as mobile phones, clothes and money among others

16.      Any sort of misconduct or irresponsible behavior such as fighting, destruction of property, theft, drunkenness and disorderliness will lead to expulsion without any refund. A surcharge shall be levied on the damage caused.

17.      Should one opt to take their weekend break away from the Hostel the management should be made aware. Such information is useful in case of emergencies.

18.      Any complaints should be forwarded to the hostel manager

19.      Before admission, each new resident must sign a declaration form accepting to abide by the rules and regulations of the Hostel

20.     The Hostel reserves the right to make any changes to the rules and terms of payment at any time.  Such changes will be formally communicated with sufficient notice.
